Holly Berry is being considered for sale. She is a foundation female who has given us two incredible crias by Diamonte of PVA and another with Balboa’s Gold Doubloon, our JC, AOBA CC herdsire, Her first cria was a black and white appy,Tiramisu, who we think is Diamonte's first appy. Holly's second cria, "Saddles", is a fawn and white pinto like his dam. AJAF Boots and Saddles, has a stunning Suri head with incredible luster and nice density and consistent locks. Saddles is now at Charmar Alpacas. The handle on Holly's crias is silky and extremely pleasant to touch. Photos on request as we complete our website. Her girl, Sprinkles, has elite fleece and is now in CO.
Holly delivers easily without assistance and is an excellent mother. Her gentle disposition is seen in her offspring. And she is smartest alpaca onour Farm. She learned to pry open our light lidded metal garbage cans that challenge my arms to open. We keep feed in them. Holly opened and invited our girls to enjoy a picnic! You have to love them. Erin William’s said Holly’s dam learned to open gates and let her alpaca out of pasture! Holly’s daughter stood down a tractor trying to enter their pasture.
Holly is one of those easy going, delightful alpacas who is the greet you in the morning with a bright, friendly face and inquisitive eyes as if asking how are you today as she leans in toward you for a kiss during feeding time.
She last cria, Miracle, by the last MacGyver son, Czardas, is as lovely as all her others. Czardas was so happy to finally get a girl he bred 45 minutes orgling so loudly I thought we’d get called by neighbors. Miracle was born after Holly was in labor 2 days. We were sure a sad event was about to happen. Vet wanted us to hold off on a c-section and finally a lively cria was born. We will not breed Holly again and after her reaction when her daughter, Sprinkles, went to CO, I promised Holly I would keep Miracle with her as long as we have a farm or contract with new owners to keep them together. Holly is herd guardian along with her daughter, Tiramisu. Miracle is following in their footsteps. We have Pyrs but these girls take their roles seriously with Tiramisu standing down a tractor in the girl’s pasture until the tractor had to change directions. I wish I had a video!!! This line may be smarter than the average alpaca. Holly pried open a tight fitting metal garbage can containing grain and served up a feast to her buddies! Erin said her mother opened gates. We had two beautiful but unexpected crias last summer. Not sure who opened the gate and let Dazzle in!
